Why I choose the Fitness Industry |
Solid yoga should be accessible beyond the yoga studio and into fitness facilities. Yoga has the potential to be a deeply reverent practice or just simply an integral component to a fitness regime. I have experienced physical fitness/liberation to be the portal to a happy mind and heart. I am a dedicated Yogi of many years, a mother of three, wife, classical flutist/music enthusiast, free spirited traveler, and plant lover. I began my training in Toronto with Michael Stone (Ashtanga), Michael Siddal (Anusara), and Judith Hansen Lasiter (restorative). After over 700 hours of study and teacher training I have placed my heart deep in the highly refined practice of Anusara Yoga. Over the past four years I have studied the elegant practice of Anusara Yoga in depth and I am currently a student of the Shaiva Tradition, Neelakantha Meditation and studying with Karen Sprute Francovich (Idaho) and Paal Muller-Ortega (California). I follow a yoga practice that encourages a soft opening to grace, refined principals of alignment and human intrinsic goodness. "I have faith that regular yoga practice ultimately has the potential to illuminate the greatest creative experience of a human life – at any age." I am inspired by the vast and intense athletic community in Kelowna and believe in the benefit of yoga for ultimate athletic performance and overall wellness. I am also inspired by the artist and cultivation of a yoga practice to ride a direct current/pathway to freedom and creativity. I enjoy and continue to study with Desiree Rumbaugh, Ross Rayburn, the local Anusara Kula, as well as my teachers Karen Sprute Francovich of Idaho. |

| Best Memory |
Back packing the south pacific en route to New Zealand and Australia.....and the romance that unfolded with my now husband! An incredible pipe organ concert in a Montreal Cathedral perched on a large hill overlooking the whole city. (after pushing my twins in a stroller for 12 km - they finally fell asleep). And....Every difficult challenge I have overcome.
