Why I choose the Fitness Industry |
I officially began teaching Astanga style yoga classes in May of 2009 in Kelowna, British Columbia however I have practiced as far back as 2000. Fitness, Dance, Yoga and any form of physical exercise and movement has largely been a passion of mine. I’ve always been involved in some sort of fitness or fitness related activity since a child and I feel it’s important for anyone to have a physical outlet of some sort. It’s very healthy and helps us to stay connected to who we truly are. I enjoy keeping like-minded others challenged and engaged in their physical goals. Others inspire me to take on new challenges and they teach me things about life and myself each and every class |

Qualifications |
200 hour Yoga Certicfication with Nicki Doane & Eddie Modestini (Maya Yoga) Iyengar & Astanga Yoga), numerous 3-5 day yoga |

Accomplishments |
Meditation and Physical Yoga Practice 5 times/week, Hiking, cycling, former dancer and group fitness instructor (hi-lo, strength, step) |

Speciality Areas |
Astanga Yoga (vinyasa flow style, primary series, power yoga, inversions, etc) Restorative Yoga (uses props to aid in relaxation in order to access the para-sympathetic nervous system) |

2012 Goals |
Build classes to suit and accommodate all guests' physical capabilities and strength needs. Give birth to our first baby in July and return to teach at least 2 classes in the Fall of 2010! Build a restorative clientele/following as I feel many from Global would benefit greatly from such a practice… |
